Upper Basin depths and slips

I am looking at property on the lake near the crooked creek boat ramp.  Is the water deep enough to get my boat (21' Bayliner I/O Hardtop) to the main waters?  Are there places to rent slips?  Can property owners have personal slips on the water there?  Appreciate any info.  ckime06@aol.com

From what I know, it can be tricky up that far depending on the lake level; I’ve only seen small fishing type boats going up that far.

You can rent slips on the lake; they can be a bit pricy though. Cut Right Marina, Four Winds Resort Marina and the DNR state doc’s located by the 446 bridge are three of the bigger ones.

As far as I know DNR does not allow any personal slips unless you’re in a community that has slips for all the houses. I know from time to time those come up for sales.

Yes I agree, from my understanding how the "Slip System" works, unless DNR is getting money from the slip, you cant place one on the water.  I know of a couple of people that have land on the water that wanted to do the same thing and DNR would not allow the slip or dock to be installed.  So if you are purchasing the land for this I would check prior to purchasing.
