Sadness, the season is over

Well it's gotten just too cold to swim and we've been too busy to fish.

So I'll be trying to pull the boat this weekend.

Do most folk pull theirs for the winter or leave them in? 

I pull mine and store it indoors at a place I know of ($250 for the winter)

We've been wanting to get out for that "one last time" for the past 3 weeks but the weather just hasn't cooperated. Now it may be too late. May have to go to Dale Hollow to get out again. Be a long 6 months before we go again. I can't take it!!!

I know exactly how you feel.  I went down to the dock and just sat in the boat for a whole day two weeks ago. Desperately wanted one last cruise and swim but it rained all day.

Now I'll just settle for one last cruise.

This was my first year in a slip and I am amazed at how much more I enjoyed the boat this year. No hassles with launching and loading and it was always ready to go.  I was also able to use it much longer each day as I can dock after dark with no effort while loading and hauling after dark is a drag.

It's going to be a long winter

Morgan County Fairgrounds has winter storage. (Martinsville) It's $200 for the first 20 feet and $5 per foot after that. I know it's filling up quick. 765-342-9905. I hope I didn't give away your secret John.

Indoors?  How secure is it?

It's in the "beef barn" and it is totally enclosed and locked. They also offer storage in the poultry building but it only has a roof...no sides.

Nope. I'm at Lawrence county fairgrounds. Indoors, under lock and key in one of the commercial buildings.  Grounds are watched pretty closely by the caretaker who lives on sight.  8$/foot including trailer tongue. My 24' noat on it's 32' trailer costs me $256 for the winter (Late October till late March I think).

I think generally fairgrounds are well kept secrets for this sort of thing
