Fairfax beach to close for four days

After opening last week, Fairfax Beach at Lake Monroe will be closed again for two days this week and next, said Phil Wilson, reservoir specialist.

Wilson said that “a staff issue” will force closure of Fairfax beach Tuesday and Wednesday of this week and Tuesday and Wednesday next week.

However, on the Labor Day Weekend Fairfax beach should be open as scheduled, he said.

Paynetown Beach is open.
