I know some of the Dock's have groups, that are the "F" dock and they have parties, announcements, etc.  I was thinking if any of the dock's would like a forum of their own to post announcements, or just chat with one another, I would be glad to create a forum area just for each dock.  So let me know and I would be glad to assist in setting up this project.

As well if anyone has any ideas on getting more people to use the forum, and talking, rather than lurking, let me know as I would like to see more chatter here, than just me.  Smiley

Thanks,
Kevin

Kevin,

I think many boaters that are docked at Lake Monroe probably don't even know about this forum. Frankly, I have never brought them up in any discussions with my fellow slip holders.

Have you ever thought about placing a flyer in the back of everyone's boat? Would require someone to walk all the docks but at least you would be getting the word out that this forum exists.

Just a thought...

Well the problem anymore is, I dont slip at the lake, as I trailer my boat, and they have is so now you cant walk up and down the docks without a pass.  So I dont even have a way to place flyers on the bulletin boards anymore.  But I agree, not enough boaters on the lake know about this site, and I tell everyone I can, and just dont seem to be able to get the word out...  I am open to ideas, and suggestions, as I think the more people we can get in here, the better.  Good stories, and good friendship is what it is all about...

I know that fourwinds sends out monthly email newsletters. Perhaps talk to them about getting a mention? It would be a free way for htem to increase the value of their slips (as it builds community)

I slip on "H" dock. I would be willing to walk the docks and place flyers in boats for you.

I have also sent you (Kevin) some messages about helping with these forums. Willing to do that too as I come check them out almost daily.

Message me.
