Lake Monroe
Water temperature is in the 80s. Water is clear on the main lake, muddy on the upper lake.

Crappie: Fish in about 12 feet of water on deep structures.

Bluegill: Fish are on beds and make for fast action, even for the youngsters.

Walleye: Live bait rigs slow trolled over hard bottom has produced some fish. Look for small groups close to the bottom. — J & R Guide Service, Indiana Department of Natural Resources.


Shakamak State Park
Bluegill: Fish Lake Kickapoo and Lake Lenape in 10-15 feet of water.

Channel catfish: 4- to 6-pound catfish being caught on all three lakes. — IDNR


Glendale Fish and Wildlife Area
Bluegill: Fish with crickets, redworms and jigs with beemoth in 10-20 feet of water. Fish deep channels in early morning, late afternoon and early evening.

Channel catfish: Fish with live bait, nightcrawlers or livers in 8 to 20 feet of water. Limb-lines or trot-lines with live bait work well. Permits for the lines are issued on weekly basis (Thursday-Sunday).

Largemouth bass: Fish being caught in weeks and lotus pads. Not much action during heat of the day.

Readear: Fish with redworms, nightcrawlers or a skirted tube jig with a nightcrawler in 10 to 15 feet of water just off the bottom or near structures. — IDNR
