Bedford

The parade will take place on July 3 at noon. It starts on 16th street by Courthouse.

Fireworks will take place on July 4 at 10:15p.m. at Bedford Junior High.



Bloomington

Independence Day Festivities will take place on July 3 from 9:00 AM -1:00 PM at the Courthouse Square Outdoor Areas. This year's theme is "The Spirit of Bloomington!" Parade begins at Seventh and Indiana and starts at 10:00 a.m. More info

Fireworks to be held at the Monroe County Fairgrounds, July 4 beginning at dusk.

Bedford fireworks are actually being held at the Parkview field. (behind parkview schools on 16th street).

(We don't have a jr high school. We have a middle school.)

Do you folks think that there is ANYspot on the lake that fireworks can be seen from?

I'd say no.  The fireworks for both Bedford and Bloomington are about 10 miles from the closest points on the lakes and you have to look over a 100 to 150' ridge right at the lake to see in those directions. (that is, your look angle to see out of the lake would make it impossible to look low enough at 10mile range to see the fireworks)

Might be able to see the very tops of the very tallest works but I doubt it.
