There’s a lot to do in state parks and reservoirs to celebrate the July 4th weekend. Discover our national symbol, the bald eagle, up close at Charlestown; enjoy an old-fashioned Independence Celebration at Spring Mill, explore programs at the Woodland Indiana Village at Historic Prophetstown or play some cornhole at Monroe Lake.
For a complete list of the weekend’s activities across the state, visit Of course, you can always just lay back in your lawn chair and enjoy the sparks from your campfire and the fireflies rising from the grass nearby. Check occupancy and make your reservations at www.camp.IN.gov or call 1-866-6CAMP-IN for camping or visit www.indianainns.com for rooms at one of our eight lodges.

Reserved hunt applications beginning on July 1 include:
•   Dove Draw Hunt
•   Military/Refuge Firearm Deer Draw Hunt
•   Military/Refuge Archery Deer Draw Hunt
•   Pheasant Draw Hunt
•   State Park Early Deer Reduction Draw Hunt
•   State Park Late Deer Reduction Draw Hunt
