Fishing with Father-inlaw!!!!!!
«

My wifes parents are coming up from Tx in a couple of weeks and we have rented a cabin in Brown County. He wants to go fishing. I have just started fishing in the area this year with a 16'flat back canoe with a 3hp motor. I also have a trolling motor if needed.
Where is a good place to fish this time of year that actually might produce something? Lake Lemon seems out as they are about to dredge the lake. I don't mind Monroe, but there are so many pleasure craft, makes it a little scary in the canoe. Any suggestions for nearby lakes or quiet fishing places on Monroe?
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Matt

When I drive by Moore's Creek boat ramp, it looks calm. It's off of Stipp Road. Moffet turns into Stipp.

Try fishing anywhere on the Cuttright side of the lake. I think almost half of the lake is no wake zone.

Both are good suggestions. The father-in-law weekend passed. All went well.
We are going to Paynetown with the camper next weekend, I will check out both places.
THANKS,
