Put the boat in the water yesterday. Didn't get to play on it as I ran out of time.

Went back today with the Girl and took it out for a spin. Boat ran well and the new stereo played really well. Unfortunately I had the marina put a new sensor on my depth finder/fishfinder and now I have no power to the thing. They'll have to go a rerun the cable checks.

Was amazed at the amount of floating junk in the cove.  So the Girl and I went "garbage jousting". She got the net and I maneuvered her where she could catch the stuff.  We harvested a couple of grocery bags worth of stuff.

As we were doing this I heard some guy yelling at me.

I'm slightly hard of hearing so it was amazing that I heard him. But couldn't decipher what he was saying. So we motored on over there and he asked if I could tow him in.  Sure no problem.

The tow was pretty easy. Getting him back on his trailer was a nice puzzle. Finally we made it work.

Not a bad first day.

Good sounding day!  Way to help the fellow boater.

Hopefully people can be prevented or encouraged to not trash the cove (or the lake in general).  Lake seemed busy to me for so early in the season, but most of the traffic were people putting their boats in.  The huge yachts coming flying into the marina (looked like the no wake buoys weren't there yet) caused a few near accidents and huge waves in the marina.

I dream of the day I can get one of those huge yachts!

I've been saving up and so far I'm just one major lottery win away!
